Yoga !!! What Is Yoga And Why Do We Have To Practice It?

Yoga is a discipline which includes a technique to master organism of the body and to render it healthy. Yoga means “Union” – “Connection”. It creates awareness in all its form.  The term Yoga comes from the root “Yuj”, meaning “to join”.

The art of Yoga is defined as a system of culture for enhancing human efficiency. It destroys the disease of the mind and the body to establish health and to gain happiness, to develop intelligence and to allow you to discover the true knowledge of yourself.  It also means to encounter the reality as it is. The path of Yoga helps you to extract the frustration without your own mind.  If Yoga is practiced everyday, it will definitely lead to mental stability and concentration in self.

Yoga helps to purify the mind, body and emotions.  With practice and with times, you become a better human being.  In Yoga, you have different postures (Asana) – breathing (Pranayama) – control of forces (Mudra) – cleansing the body-mind ( Shat Karma).  Each Yoga postures is held for a period of time and linked with breathing.

The breathing exercise helps to remove toxins and bacteria from the body.  Normally, a Yoga session starts with gentle posture and work up to more challenging postures.  A full Yoga session should work out every part of your body and should include breath control practices known as “Pranayama” as mentioned above.  Yoga soothes your nerves , calm your mind and improve sleep quality.  Studies have shown that regular Yoga practice may help normalize blood pressure, thus increasing the energy flow from head to toe.
