Mother’s Day is an annual event, celebrated to honor and respect a Mother. It is celebrated to salute the motherhood as well as increasing the maternal bonds to children.

A Brief History of Mother’s Day…
Mother’s Day is originated from mainly two women – Julia Ward Howe and Anna Jarvis. Julia Ward Howe sponsored Mother’s Day each year in Boston, to promote pacifism and disarmament with women.
Anna Jarvis (known as the Founder of Mother’s Day), organized the first Mother’s Day in Grafton – West Virginia – at St. Andrew’s Church in 1908.
Mother’s Day is celebrated with cards and gifts (such as chocolates, Jewels, Flowers and special meal). Other small treats might includes a spa or a beauty treatment.
This year, Mother’s Day will fall on a Sunday (8th May). It is an opportunity for the whole family to celebrate this special day together in an atmosphere of joy and Happiness.
